1, Olet is also called Olet seat, saddle and saddle type pipe joint.
2, It is mainly used for reinforcing pipe fittings of branch connection instead of branch connection types such as reducing tee, reinforcing plate and reinforcing pipe section.
3, The Olet has the outstanding advantages of safety, reliability, cost reduction, simple construction, improvement of medium flow channel, series standardization, and convenient design and selection.
4, Especially in the high pressure, high temperature, large diameter and thick wall pipelines, which is increasingly used to replace the traditional Olet connection method.
5, The main body of the Olet is made of high-quality forgings with the same material as the pipe, including carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, etc.
6, The Olet seat and the main pipe are welded. There are three types of connection with the Olet or other pipes, instruments and valves: butt welding connection, socket welding connection and threaded connection.
7, The commonly used manufacturing standards include MSS sp-97, GB / t19326 and other standards.
8, Welding Olet is generally processed by integral forging. Olet structure is divided into main pipe connection end, reinforcement part and Olet connection end.
9, The external dimension of Olet has corresponding reference standard, and the connection form with main pipe is groove butt connection.
10, The groove of the weld is a single-sided V-groove, which can be determined as the combination of butt weld (groove weld) and fillet weld.
11, The other parts outside the first slope of the branch header belong to the thickness transition slope and do not belong to the groove of the branch header.
12, When calculating the weld thickness, the second bevel shall be excluded and calculated from the first one. In the actual welding on site, the thickness of the weld can reach the first inclined plane.
13, The welder of the branch welding platform needs to obtain relevant welding project qualification.
14, When considering the outer diameter coverage of the pipe, the diameter of the groove surface (outer diameter of the branch) of the branch shall be considered.The diameter of the main pipe is not considered in the welder qualification.
15, When there is a transition slope, the groove surface diameter refers to the actual diameter measured from the groove surface, which is generally smaller than the outer diameter of the branch header.
