A: 18/30kV indicates a higher insulation level – used for longer transmission distances and higher fault levels.
Q: Why copper wire screen (CWS) instead of copper tape?
A: CWS offers lower resistance, higher fault current capacity, and better flexibility. It also eliminates the need for separate earth conductor in many cases.
Q: Can this cable be directly buried?
A: Yes, standard PVC sheath is suitable for direct burial. Add armouring (AWA/SWA) for rocky soil or high mechanical stress.
Q: Is LSZH version available?
A: Yes – replace PVC sheath with LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) for tunnels or confined spaces.
Q: Does IEC 60502-2 require water blocking?
A: Not mandatory but highly recommended – available upon request (longitudinal water blocking tape).
