This fiber-optic gyroscope is a high-precision inertial angular rate sensor based on the Sagnac effect, used to measure the carrier’s rotational angular velocity along the sensitive axis. Adopting a digital closed-loop detection circuit, it captures the optical path difference of counter-propagating light inside the fiber coil generated by external rotational motion. The system converts the optical path difference into a voltage signal and performs signal modulation and demodulation. Equipped with closed-loop feedback and control algorithms, the sensor achieves stable, high-precision and real-time angular velocity detection.

Function

The product integrates an optical angular velocity sensitive unit and a signal detection unit. It outputs high-precision angle increment data and real-time internal temperature information to support inertial calculation, temperature compensation and stable system operation.

Application Areas

This fiber-optic gyroscope is widely deployed in photoelectric cranes, aerial flight platforms, transportation equipment, inertial navigation systems, inertial measurement systems, optical and photographic instruments, and platform stabilization devices. It serves as a core inertial sensing unit for precision attitude measurement and motion control in industrial and aerospace scenarios.

  • Optical components: SLD light source, optical fiber coil, integrated optical phase modulator, optical fiber coupler, and photodetector;
  • Circuit section: light source driving circuit, signal detection and control circuit;
  • Gyro mechanical structure.
