The 4.8 kW HMI Film Lighting Balloon is a professional aerial soft-light system designed for film production, television shoots, large outdoor events, and night scene illumination. Using four 1.2 kW HMI tubes, this lighting balloon delivers powerful output with a natural daylight color temperature, creating a wide, soft, and evenly diffused lighting effect from above.

When inflated with helium, the balloon rises into the air and acts as a large overhead soft light source, simulating natural skylight. This makes it ideal for night filming, large scene illumination, and outdoor productions where consistent and natural lighting is required.

With a 5600K daylight color temperature, the HMI system perfectly matches natural sunlight and other daylight-balanced fixtures. A high CRI of ≥92 ensures accurate color reproduction, making it suitable for high-end film and television production.

The balloon measures 16.5 ft × 8 ft (5 m × 2.5 m), providing broad, glare-free illumination over a large area.
