Yes. The stove port is engineered with a heavy-duty, fire-retardant silicone sleeve that creates a protective thermal barrier between your hot stove pipe and the PVC roof fabric. We strongly recommend maintaining a 2-3cm air gap between the pipe and the sleeve for convection cooling, and always using a spark arrestor on the top of your chimney for absolute safety.
The dark framing is not real wood; it is a high-density, textured PVC material with a specialized matte finish designed to simulate timber. It is completely waterproof, mildew-resistant, and will never rot, warp, or absorb moisture like genuine wood. It requires no maintenance other than a simple wipe-down.
The 10.2cm diameter port is optimally sized for standard wood stove pipes. While some small-diameter propane heater exhausts might fit, we primarily recommend using it for wood-burning stoves. For propane heaters, we advise using the cabin's integrated side mesh vents for standard ventilation.
The skylights feature a zippered inner privacy flap. When you are not actively stargazing, you can zip this flap completely closed. This creates a double-insulated barrier (the clear skylight PVC + the inner fabric flap) that prevents heat from escaping upward through the roof.
We provide heavy-gauge spiral steel stakes specifically designed for soft forest soil, grass, and leaf-litter. The wide spiral threads allow them to grip deeply into the earth, ensuring your cabin stays anchored against woodland gusts while you enjoy the comfort of your stove.
