The GAVIN GC615HMG thermal imaging module is widely used in many areas including NDT (Non-Destructive Testing), Environmental Monitoring, Long-Range Surveillance, Scientific Research, and other industrial applications.
Our infrared detectors feature high sensitivity and excellent performance with world-leading technology in the infrared industry. We offer various infrared detectors including both uncooled and cooled IR detectors in different formats and pixel sizes. With three production lines and annual production capability up to millions of detectors, we ensure fast delivery and volume production.
There are currently two types of infrared thermal imaging sensors on the market: cooled and uncooled. Uncooled IR detectors operate at ambient temperature and are based on semiconductor technology, allowing for high-volume production with small size and low cost. They are widely used in portable/handheld/mobile devices. Cooled IR detectors are packaged in a unit that maintains extremely low temperatures supported by a cryo cooler. While they are larger, more expensive, and less reliable due to complex cooling systems, cooled systems offer incredible sensitivity and typically work with long focal length optics for long-range missions.
Cooled infrared focal plane detectors operate at low temperatures provided by a detector dewar cooler (DDC). They offer high sensitivity and can distinguish more subtle temperature differences than uncooled infrared detectors. This enables detection, identification, and recognition of objects at very long ranges exceeding ten kilometers. While the complex structure of cooled detectors results in relatively higher costs compared to uncooled detectors, their performance advantages make them essential for demanding applications.
