It is hex SUS304 driver by CNC machined of many products that we make for the USA company named Intact Idea LLC. /Flair espresso, who designs , develops , manufactures and market level espresso makers.
It is a CNC machined component with SUS304 material that used on the coffee grinder to drive the coffer machine to rotate when you plan to have the coffee powder.
A hex shaft typically refers to a shaft with a hexagonal cross-section, which allows for better grip and torque transmission when connected to a driver or other components. In coffee grinders, a hex shaft can be used to connect the motor to the grinding mechanism effectively.
Material: SUS304, SUS304 provides excellent corrosion resistance, which is beneficial for coffee grinding applications.
Process: Round material, CNC machined and drilling the hole to connect the grinder
The challenge comes from the hex surface when do the cnc machining, the shaft length is a serious requirement to ensure all the hex surface are in parallel.
In the beginning, from cost save consideration, we ever did the process by SUS304 die casting way, but after the T1 samples, we can see the length is not vertical, which will lead the shaft stuck in the pulley when finish the coffee bean grinding, the problem is that the hex surface are not in parallel and not vertical.
So, from function study, we last transfer to the CNC machined, which have many benefits than die casting
1. Dimenison is quite accurate
2. Surface will be much better than die casting
3. No deformation risk, coz you know the die casting need to be taken out from hot temperature tank and then cooling down, this process will have the deformation risk.
