Purpose & Clinical Utility
The primary purpose of the sealing cap is to facilitate the smooth entry and withdrawal of laparoscopic instruments (such as graspers, scissors, or needle holders) while preventing the loss of CO₂ insufflation.
Instrument Protection: The soft silicone surface prevents mechanical scratching of delicate instrument shafts.

Usage & Maintenance
Installation: Firmly press the sealing cap onto the proximal end of the trocar cannula until it clicks or seats securely.
Operation: During surgery, the instrument is inserted through the center of the cap. The elastic memory of the silicone ensures an immediate seal around the shaft.
Post-Op: After the procedure, remove the cap for manual cleaning. Use a neutral pH detergent to remove bio-burden before sterilization in a standard autoclave cycle.
