SITRANS P320/P420 series pressure transmitters are digital instruments characterized by user-friendly interface and high accuracy. Parameters can be set via local pushbuttons and HART fieldbus communication. The wide range of functions makes the pressure transmitters very suitable for the needs of the plant. Despite the large number of setting options, operation is simple. The SITRANS P320/P420 pressure transmitters are ideally suited for applications in the chemical industry due to the self-diagnostic function in accordance with NAMUR NE107*. Powerful self-diagnostics and storage of process variables ensure that the SITRANS P420 is “ready for the digital age”. The “Remote Safe Commissioning” function significantly saves customers time and costs, as the SIL safety function can be opened and confirmed remotely via the SIMATIC PDM software. This eliminates the time required to travel to the site and the steps required for local operation via local pushbuttons and displays. Parameterization using the HART communication protocol is very simple and fast because of the innovative EDD description file integrated in the quick start wizard. The transmitter can be connected to remote sealing assemblies of various designs for special applications such as highly viscous materials.
