CA Series High Alumina Refractory Cement – High-Strength Calcium Aluminate Binder for Castable and Urgent Repair
Our CA-series High Alumina Cement, also known as Calcium Aluminate Cement or refractory cement, is a high-performance hydraulic cementing material manufactured by grinding clinker with calcium aluminate as the main component. With alumina (Al₂O₃) content ranging from 50% to over 77%, it serves as the critical high-strength binder for manufacturing premium low-cement and ultra-low-cement refractory castables. This cement enables the construction and repair of all types of furnaces and kilns, offering excellent thermal insulation, acid erosion resistance, and high strength. It is particularly valued for urgent repair projects and demanding schedules where rapid setting and early strength development are essential.
Each grade is produced under strict quality control protocols, ensuring consistent chemical composition, stable physical properties, and reliable performance in high-temperature environments up to 1800°C. The material features low impurity content (SiO₂, Fe₂O₃, R₂O), which significantly enhances high-temperature performance and corrosion resistance compared to ordinary cements.

Why Choose Our Products?
Rapid Hardening and High Early Strength - Achieves high compressive and rupture strength within 1 to 3 days, significantly accelerating project timelines and enabling urgent repair completion with minimal downtime.
Exceptional High-Temperature Performance - Refractoriness exceeds 1650°C, with a maximum service temperature reaching 1800°C, suitable for various atmospheric conditions in demanding industrial furnaces and kilns.
Superior Bonding and Structural Integrity - Forms a strong, integral bond with furnace linings and refractory aggregates, ensuring monolithic structural integrity and eliminating weak points in the lining system.
Excellent Durability and Resistance - Exhibits good resistance to chemical corrosion, high wear resistance, and high thermal shock stability, extending the service life of refractory linings in harsh environments.
Primary Applications
Metallurgy and Heat Treatment - Linings for various industrial furnaces, ladles, tundishes, and soaking pits in steelmaking and non-ferrous metal processing.
Power Generation and Environmental Protection - Circulating fluidized bed (CFB) boilers, waste incineration furnaces, and biomass power plant refractory linings requiring high thermal shock resistance.
Chemical, Petrochemical and Ceramics - High-temperature reactors, reformers, cracking heaters, ceramic kiln furniture, shuttle kilns, and glass lehrs where chemical inertness is critical.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1: How do I select the right CA grade for my castable formulation?
A: The selection depends on your specific application temperature, required strength, chemical environment, and cost considerations. CA-50 and CA-60 are generally suitable for general-purpose castables with good cost-effectiveness. CA-70 offers superior purity for high-performance applications, while CA-80 is recommended for ultra-high-temperature environments exceeding 1700°C requiring minimal impurities. Please provide your design specifications for a tailored recommendation.
Q2: What is the recommended storage condition for this cement?
A: Our high alumina cement is hygroscopic and should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated warehouse. Keep the product in its original sealed packaging, away from moisture and humidity. Avoid stacking directly on concrete floors; use wooden pallets instead. If stored properly in sealed bags, the product can maintain its performance for up to 6 months.
Q3: Can this cement be used for urgent repairs during furnace operation?
A: Yes. Our CA-series cement is specifically designed for rapid hardening and early strength development, making it ideal for urgent repair projects with demanding schedules. For hot repairs, we recommend consulting our technical team for appropriate installation procedures to achieve optimal bonding and performance.
