Product Use
In an internal mixer, the compounding of rubber is accomplished through the mechanical action of two rotors spinning in opposite directions. These rotors subject the material to repeated cycles of squeezing and shearing. This physical stress, coupled with occurring chemical reactions, degrades the large molecular chains of the base polymers. This degradation is crucial for enabling the even mixing and distribution of all components within the final rubber compound.
