Press-fit the liner – Use a proper press and mandrel to install the liner into the block
Check liner protrusion – Measure liner height above the block deck to ensure correct cylinder head clamping
Hone if necessary – Perform final plateau honing to achieve the correct surface finish for ring seating

Install new pistons and rings – Use new rings and ensure proper ring gap
