⚠️ IMPORTANT: Professional Installation Recommended
The PCV ch tank is part of the engine's crankcase ventilation system. Proper installation and hose routing are critical for correct system function.
Pre-Installation Checklist:
Tilt the cab up for access (on cab-over models)
Disconnect PCV hose clamp at the ch tank
Disconnect PCV hose from ch tank and hose bracket near oil filter
Inspect all PCV hoses for cracks, damage, or blockage
Related parts: PCV hose (8-98024-528-0) and PCV tube bracket may need replacement
Installation Guidelines:
Safely raise vehicle and tilt cab up (if applicable)
Loe ch tank / pressure control valve
Disconnect PCV hose clamp and remove PCV hose from ch tank
Remove old ch tank from mounting bracket
Clean mounting surface and bracket area thoroughly
Install new ch tank from upper side, sliding down between ch tank and bracket
Connect PCV hose to ch tank and attach hose clamp in proper position
CRITICAL: Follow correct PCV hose routing as specified in workshop manual
Ensure hose cutout area faces and contacts flywheel housing surface
Tighten all mounting bolts to 19 N·m (14 lb ft)
