Installation steps (overview):
Clean the connecting rod and inspect for cracks or damage
Install new connecting rod bearings (upper and lower halves)
Lubrie bearings and crank journal with engine assembly lube
Attach the piston to the connecting rod using the piston pin and retainers
Install piston rings and compress them with a ring compressor
Insert piston/rod assembly into the cylinder bore, guiding the rod onto the crankshaft journal
Install the connecting rod cap with new bolts. Torque bolts to specifiion in stages
Verify bearing clearance using plastigauge before final torque
Rotate crankshaft to ensure smooth movement after all rods are installed
Proceed with engine assembly
