How It Works
The crankshaft is the engine's core rotating component, connected to the pistons via connecting rods. The crankshaft is a single-use component — must be replaced if uneven wear, scoring, or runout exceeds service limits
Main bearings, connecting rod bearings, and thrust washers must be replaced simultaneously when replacing the crankshaft

Thrust washer must be correctly positioned with oil grooves facing the crankshaft; end play set to factory specification (0.04-0.2mm)

Installation & Maintenance Recommendations
IMPORTANT: The crankshaft is the engine's most critical power component. Improper installation may cause catastrophic engine failure. Installation should be performed by qualified engine specialists using special tools and new crankshaft bolts.
Installation Guidelines (Refer to workshop manual):
Safety Prep: Remove engine from equipment; mount on engine repair stand
Remove Old Crankshaft: Remove flywheel, timing gears, connecting rods, main bearing caps; remove old crankshaft
Inspect Cylinder Block: Check main bearing bores for deformation, scoring, or wear
Clean All Components: Thoroughly clean main bearing bores, oil galleries, and all related components
Install New Main Bearings: Install new main bearings (note upper/lower orientation); apply assembly oil
Install New Crankshaft: Carefully place new crankshaft into main bearing bores; install thrust washer with oil grooves facing crankshaft
