Prepare the engine block – Thoroughly clean the block and inspect for cracks or damage
Remove old liners – Use a proper liner puller to remove worn liners
Clean liner bores – Remove all debris, old sealant, and rust from block liner counterbores
Measure new liners – Verify dimensions against OEM specifiions
Check liner protrusion – Install liners without seals to measure protrusion above the deck; shim if necessary
Install liner seals – Install new O-ring seals on the liner lower section (if applicable)
Apply sealant – Apply approved sealant to the liner seating surface if specified
Press-fit the liner – Use a proper press and mandrel to install the liner into the block
Check protrusion again – Measure final liner height above the block deck
Hone if necessary – Perform final plateau honing to achieve the correct finish for ring seating
