Installation Notes
Professional installation required. Proper clutch system service is critical for safe operation.
Disconnect battery - Disconnect the negative battery cable before beginning work
Remove the transmission - Safely remove the transmission assembly from the vehicle
Access the clutch housing - Remove the clutch housing cover or bell housing inspection plate
Remove the release bearing - Disconnect the release bearing from the shift block
Remove the old shift block - Unbolt or unclip the shift block from its pivot point
Inspect the pivot point - Check the pivot ball/stud for wear or damage; replace if necessary
Inspect clutch components - Check the clutch disc, pressure plate, and release bearing for wear; replace as needed
Clean the mounting area - Clean the pivot point and surrounding area
Prepare the new shift block - Apply high-temperature grease to the pivot points (if specified)
Install the new shift block - Position the new shift block on its pivot point and secure
Install the release bearing - Attach the release bearing to the shift block
Reinstall the transmission - Reinstall the transmission assembly
Adjust clutch free play - Adjust the clutch pedal free play per manufacturer specifiions
Reconnect battery - Reconnect the battery
Test operation - Test clutch pedal feel and shifting operation
Road test - Test drive the vehicle to verify smooth clutch engagement and gear changes
