Installation Notes
Professional installation recommended. Proper electrical connection is essential.
Disconnect battery - Disconnect the negative battery cable to avoid electrical shock
Loe the speed sensor - Identify the speed sensor on the vehicle's transmission
Disconnect the electrical connector - Carefully unplug the wiring harness from the sensor
Remove the old sensor - Use an S30 spanner to loosen and remove the old speed sensor
Inspect the mounting hole - Check the mounting bore for debris, damage, or metal shavings
Clean the mounting area - Clean the mounting surface and threads thoroughly
Prepare the new sensor - Inspect the new sensor and ensure the O-ring/seal is in place
Install the new sensor - Thread the new sensor into the mounting hole (M22×1.5) and tighten
Connect the electrical connector - Reconnect the wiring harness to the 3-pin sensor connector
Reconnect battery - Reconnect the negative battery cable
Test operation - Start the vehicle and verify accurate speedometer and odometer readings
Clear error codes - Use a diagnostic tool to clear any fault codes related to the speed sensor
Test drive - Test drive the vehicle to confirm proper sensor function and accurate speed display
