Pre-Installation Checklist:
Check if the updated connector is required — if your vehicle still has the original 06J109259A without the updated connector, you will need 4H0973702A (2-pin connector housing).
Disconnect the negative battery terminal before starting work.
Allow the engine to cool completely.
Clean the area around the adjuster magnet to prevent debris from entering the engine.
Loe the camshaft adjuster magnet on the cylinder head (near the camshaft adjuster).
Disconnect the electrical connector from the magnet.
Remove the mounting bolts securing the magnet.
Carefully remove the old magnet — watch for oil spillage.
Clean the mounting surface thoroughly.
CRITICAL: If required, install the new 2-pin connector housing 4H0973702A.
Install the new adjuster magnet (or updated 06L109259D) and torque mounting bolts to manufacturer's specified torque settings (refer to vehicle-specific workshop manual).
Reconnect the electrical connector securely.
Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
