The dual mass flywheel is an integral part of a clutch replacement. Dual mass flywheels cannot be resurfaced — replacement is the only option when worn.
Pre-Installation Checklist:
Verify transmission type — fits 6-speed MANUAL transmission ONLY
Transmission must be removed for flywheel access
Use NEW flywheel bolts (included)
Replace rear main seal while flywheel is removed (recommended)
Always replace clutch disc and pressure plate simultaneously with flywheel
Maintenance Schedule:
Inspection: During clutch service or if vibration/rattling symptoms appear
Replacement: Recommended at 160,000 km (100,000 miles) or immediately if failure symptoms appear
Note: Always replace flywheel when replacing clutch — DMF and clutch wear together as matched set
