Installation steps (typical for rear brake shoes):
Safely lift and support the vehicle, remove the rear wheels and brake drums.
Remove the old brake shoes – use spring pliers to unhook return springs, hold-down springs, and adjuster.
Clean the backing plate and inspect the wheel cylinders for leaks or sticking.
Apply brake grease to the contact points on the backing plate.
Install the new brake shoes, reattach springs, hold-down hardware, and adjuster.
Adjust the shoe-to-drum clearance using the star wheel (drum should have slight drag).
Reinstall the brake drums and wheels, torque lug nuts.
Pump the brake pedal to seat the shoes.
Test drive and re-adjust if necessary.
