How It Works
The power steering pump is driven by the engine crankshaft via a belt. A rotor inside the pump rotates within an eccentric cavity, drawing hydraulic fluid from the reservoir through vanes and pressurizing it before delivering it to the steering gearbox via a high-pressure hose.
