Installation Notes
Professional installation recommended. Proper hydraulic system bleeding is critical:
Disconnect battery - Disconnect the negative battery cable before beginning work
Drain clutch fluid - Drain the clutch fluid from the reservoir and system
Disconnect hydraulic line - Carefully disconnect the clutch fluid line from the slave cylinder
Remove the old slave cylinder - Unbolt and remove the old slave cylinder from the transmission bell housing
Inspect the push rod - Check the push rod and clutch release fork for wear or damage; replace if necessary
Clean the mounting area - Clean the mounting surface and surrounding area
Prepare the new slave cylinder - Inspect the new cylinder and verify it matches the original
Install the new slave cylinder - Position the new cylinder and secure with mounting bolts
Connect the push rod - Connect the push rod to the clutch release fork
Connect hydraulic line - Reconnect the clutch fluid line to the slave cylinder
Fill reservoir - Fill the master cylinder reservoir with the correct type of clutch/brake fluid
Bleed the system - Bleed the hydraulic clutch system to remove all air from the lines
Check pedal feel - Test the clutch pedal for proper feel and travel
Reconnect battery - Reconnect the battery
Test operation - Start the engine and test clutch engagement and shifting
