Installation steps (overview):
Disconnect battery negative cable
Locate the fuel feed pump (usually on the engine block near the injection pump)
Place a drain pan under the pump
Disconnect fuel inlet and outlet lines (label positions)
Remove the mounting bolts
Remove the old pump and gasket
Clean the mounting surface
Install a new gasket and the new pump. Hand-tighten bolts
Torque mounting bolts to specification (typically 20-30 Nm)
Reconnect fuel lines (IN from tank, OUT to filter/injection pump)
Reconnect battery
Prime the system by repeatedly pressing the hand primer until fuel flows with no air bubbles and resistance builds
Start engine and check for leaks
