Installation Notes
Installation steps (overview):
Safely lift and support the vehicle. Remove the driveshaft if necessary
Remove the handbrake drum (center brake drum) from the transmission output flange
Remove old springs, retainers, and adjuster components
Clean the drum and backing plate
Install new components (return springs, hold-down springs, pins, retainers) in the correct order
Install the adjuster mechanism and set initial adjustment (shoes just touching the drum)
Reinstall the handbrake drum and driveshaft
Adjust the parking brake cable to factory specification (3-7 clicks)
Test parking brake function on an incline
