Critical notes for D22 YD25 (2001‑2006):
Before installation:
Verify outlet port orientation and diameter – D22 YD25 uses a 10 mm barb pointing toward driver side (or firewall depending on LHD/RHD). Some aftermarket pumps mix up EB70A (D40) style. Our 14650‑VK500 matches D22 original.
Check the camshaft eccentric drive pin for wear. If the pin is loose or grooved, replace it (requires camshaft work).
Inspect the vacuum hose from pump to brake booster – old hoses may be brittle or oil‑soaked. Replace if necessary.
Clean the mounting surface thoroughly.
Installation steps (D22 YD25 typical):
Disconnect battery ground.
Remove air cleaner housing and intake duct for access (D22 engine bay is tight).
