Disconnect battery negative cable
Remove the old hand brake assembly - unbolt from floor or bracket, disconnect the brake cable(s)

Lubrie pivot points with multi-purpose grease
Install new assembly - bolt to floor. Torque bolts to specifiion (typically 20-30 Nm)
Reconnect brake cable(s) - attach clevis or hook. Adjust cable tension (3-7 clicks when engaged)
Test parking brake - pull lever; should engage firmly. Release; lever should return fully
Adjust if necessary
Reinstall interior trim
Road test - engage brake on incline, verify vehicle holds. Release and confirm no dragging
