Installation Notes
Typical installation steps for transmission speed sensor:
Disconnect battery negative cable
Locate the speed sensor on the transmission output housing
Disconnect the electrical connector
Remove the mounting bolt or unscrew the sensor (if threaded)
Remove the old sensor
Clean the mounting bore
Apply a small amount of dielectric grease to the new sensor's O-ring (if present) and connector pins
Install the new sensor and tighten to specification (8-12 Nm for bolts, hand-tight plus 1/4 turn for threaded)
Reconnect the electrical connector
Reconnect battery
Start engine and test speedometer operation. Use a scan tool to clear any speed sensor codes
