The Fuel Sedimenter (Water Separator / Pre‑Filter Assembly) with OEM number 8‑98162904‑0 is a verified direct‑fit replacement for the ISUZU 700P series medium‑duty trucks equipped with the 4HK1 5.2L turbo diesel engine. Critical Functions
The fuel sedimenter is the primary filtration stage in the diesel fuel system, mounted between the fuel tank and the main fuel filter. Its critical functions are:
Water Separation - Uses gravity and a water bowl to separate condensed water from diesel fuel, preventing water from reaching the high‑pressure common rail injection system
Large Particle Filtration - Captures rust, dirt, and other contaminants before they can damage the main fuel filter or fuel pump
