Installation Overview
Safely lift and support the front of the vehicle
Drain power steering fluid or catch spillage
Remove pitman arm from old steering gear (use puller)
Disconnect steering column universal joint from input shaft
Disconnect hydraulic lines (pressure and return) and cap lines
Remove mounting bolts and remove old steering gear
Compare new gear with old unit for compatibility
Transfer pitman arm and torque nut to specification
Install new steering gear and torque mounting bolts
Reconnect hydraulic lines with new O-rings/seals
Reconnect steering column universal joint
Refill power steering fluid and bleed system
Check for leaks and verify steering operation
Perform wheel alignment (recommended)
