Product Overview
The Rear Outer Hub Oil Seal with OEM numbers 8-94336317-2 and 8943363172 is a verified direct-fit replacement for ISUZU ELF / NPR / NQR / 700P / NQR71 / NQR75 / NQR90 / NPR75 light and medium-duty trucks equipped with 4HK1 / 4BD1 / 4HE1 / 4HG1 diesel engines. This critical rear wheel hub sealing component retains hub lubrication and prevents dirt, water, and debris from entering the rear outer wheel bearing assembly.
Working Principle
The rear outer hub oil seal creates a dynamic seal between the rotating hub and stationary axle housing. The dual-lip design features a primary sealing lip that maintains contact under spring tension and a secondary dust lip that blocks contaminants. Constructed from NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) with metal case, it provides excellent resistance to gear oil, high temperatures, and compression set.
Failure Symptoms
Gear oil leakage at the rear wheel hub — visible oil traces on wheel or brake drum
Wheel bearing noise or vibration — oil loss causes accelerated bearing wear
Water or mud intrusion — damaged dust lip causes rust and pitting
Excessive wheel bearing play — prolonged failure leads to bearing degradation
Critical Inspection Note: ISUZU service manuals require that the rear hub oil seal be replaced, never reused whenever the wheel hub is removed. Always replace both left and right seals simultaneously. Coat the oil seal lip with MP grease before installation.
This oil seal is designed for the 49*100*8/9.5 mm application

Installation Guidelines
IMPORTANT: Wheel hub service must be performed by a qualified technician. Always support the vehicle on a hoist and relieve hub nut tension before removing the hub. Never reuse old oil seals.
