This U-bolt is a critical suspension clamping component that secures the front leaf spring pack to the front axle housing, maintaining proper suspension geometry and ensuring safe vehicle operation under heavy loads.
The front leaf spring U-bolt wraps around the axle housing and passes through the leaf spring clamping plate. When the U-bolt nuts are tightened, the U-bolt clamps the leaf spring pack firmly against the axle housing, preventing lateral and longitudinal movement of the spring relative to the axle.
Manufactured from high-strength steel with rolled threads (OEM specification) for superior fatigue resistance. Rolled threads are stronger than cut threads because the rolling process compresses the grain structure rather than cutting through it.
