The MAP Sensor (OEM Numbers: 8-98009418-0 / 8980094180) is a premium-quality, direct replacement manifold absolute pressure sensor designed specifically for ISUZU diesel engines including the 4HK1 and 6UZ1 models. This sensor monitors the absolute pressure inside the intake manifold and converts it into an electrical signal that is transmitted to the engine control unit (ECU).

Installation Notes
Professional mechanic or auto electrician installation recommended:
Disconnect battery - Always disconnect the negative terminal before working on electrical components
Locate the MAP sensor - Typically mounted on the intake manifold, charge pipe, or intercooler piping
Disconnect electrical connector - Carefully unplug the wire harness connector from the old sensor
Remove mounting bolt or screw - Unbolt the old sensor from its mounting location
Remove old sensor - Carefully pull the old sensor out of its mounting port; note the O-ring condition
Clean mounting area - Remove dirt, oil, and debris from the sensor port and mounting surface
Install new sensor - Position the new MAP sensor with a new O-ring (if required) and insert into port
Install mounting bolt - Tighten to manufacturer torque specifications (do not over-tighten)
Reconnect electrical connector - Plug the wire harness securely into the new sensor
Reconnect battery - Reconnect the negative terminal
Clear trouble codes - Use diagnostic scanner to clear any related engine trouble codes
Test operation - Start engine and verify proper operation
Road test - Confirm proper engine performance and throttle response
