Installation Guidelines
⚠️ IMPORTANT: Steering system repair must be performed by qualified professional technicians. Always secure the front axle with jack stands before installation.
Remove king pin lock pin lock nut (torque: 33±5 N·m)
Extract king pin lock pin, remove king pin, and clean all components
Install new bushings into steering knuckle
Install thrust bearing and adjustment shims, then insert king pin
Vertical clearance between knuckle and front axle: 0.02–0.10 mm
Clearance between king pin and bushing: 0.020–0.086 mm
Tighten lock pin nut to specified torque: 33±5 N·m
Apply grease to all lubrication points (NLGI No.1 calcium-base chassis grease recommended)
Maintenance Schedule
Inspect king pin bushing clearance and lubrication every 40,000 km or 90 days
Perform detailed king pin bushing inspection every 100,000 km or 1 year
Use dial indicator to check end play and maintain log for early detection
