This premium-quality oil pump is a direct replacement engine lubrication component designed specifically for Ford Ranger T6/T7, Ford Everest, Ford Transit, and Mazda BT-50 models equipped with 2.2L and 3.2L Duratorq TDCi turbo-diesel engines.
Professional mechanic or engine builder installation is strongly recommended.
Ensure engine is cool – Allow the engine to cool completely before disassembly
Disconnect battery – Always disconnect the negative terminal before working
Drain engine oil – Drain the engine oil into a suitable container
Remove drive belts and pulleys – Remove the drive belt and crankshaft pulley to access the timing cover
Remove timing chain cover – Remove the timing chain cover to access the oil pump
Remove old oil pump – Remove the oil pump chain and unbolt the old oil pump from the engine block
Clean all mating surfaces – Thoroughly clean the engine block and pump mating surfaces; remove all old gasket material and debris
Inspect related components – Check the oil pump chain, tensioner, and oil pickup tube for wear or damage; replace if necessary
Install new oil pump – Position the new oil pump on the block; align bolt holes and drive engagement
Install mounting bolts – Hand-start all bolts; tighten to manufacturer torque specifications
Reinstall timing chain cover – Install the cover with new gasket or sealant; torque bolts to specification
Reinstall pulleys and belts – Reinstall the crankshaft pulley and drive belt
Refill with engine oil – Fill with the correct grade and quantity of engine oil
Prime the oil system – Crank the engine without starting (if possible) to prime the oil pump
Start and test – Start the engine; verify proper oil pressure and check for leaks
Road test – Test drive to verify proper engine operation and no abnormal noise or leaks
