Installation Guidelines
IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE: The king pin is a critical safety component of the front axle steering system. Improper installation may cause steering failure or wheel detachment, leading to serious traffic accidents. Installation should be performed by qualified chassis specialists. Always perform wheel alignment and a road test after installation.
Safety Prep: Park on level ground, chock wheels, lift and support front axle
Remove Front Wheel: Remove front wheel tire and hub assembly
Remove Steering Knuckle: Remove tie rod end, brake caliper, and other components; remove steering knuckle from axle beam
Press Out Old King Pin: Use special press tools to press old king pin out of the knuckle
Clean Mounting Holes: Thoroughly clean king pin mounting holes in knuckle and axle beam
Inspect Mounting Holes: Check for scoring, wear, or deformation
Install New Bushings: Use special press tools to press new bushings into knuckle (do not hammer)
Install New King Pin: Insert new king pin through knuckle and axle beam; ensure smooth fit
Install Bearings & Shims: Install new bearings and adjustment shims; set king pin axial clearance to specification
Grease: Inject sufficient high-quality grease through grease fittings
