Surface Preparation: Clean both cylinder head and block surfaces with a plastic scraper. No abrasive discs. Check head flatness per service manual.
Torque Sequence: Tighten head bolts in center-outward spiral pattern. First stage: 39.2 Nm. Second stage: 75°–80°. Third stage: additional 75°–80°. Always use new head bolts. Apply engine oil to threads.
No Sealant: Install gasket dry. Do not use RTV or any additional sealant on the gasket.
