The DAF (Dissolved Air Flotation) system is an essential pretreatment equipment for efficiently removing Total Suspended Solids (TSS), Oil & Grease (O&G), and partial COD from industrial wastewater and municipal sewage. Technical Specifications

Working Principle

1. Inlet Mixing: Raw water enters the reaction zone and is thoroughly mixed with coagulants and flocculants to form flocs.

2. Dissolved Air Preparation: A portion of clean water is pressurized by the dissolution pump and enters the air dissolving tank, where air is forcibly dissolved into the water, forming supersaturated dissolved air water.

3. Micro-Bubble Generation: The dissolved air water enters the main flotation tank through specially designed releasers. The sudden pressure drop releases supersaturated air as micro-fine bubbles.

4. Flotation Separation: Micro-bubbles attach to the surface of flocs, forming scum with lower density than water that rapidly rises to the surface.

5. Scum Skimming & Sludge Discharge: The skimmer scrapes the scum into the scum trough. Treated clean water is discharged through the water collection pipe, and bottom sediment sludge is regularly discharged.
