The movement of the iron core drives the drive gear to extend outward, so that it meshes with the engine's flywheel ring gear.
Rotation drive: After the drive gear meshes with the flywheel ring gear, the current passes through the armature winding and the field winding of the starter. According to the principle of electromagnetic induction, the armature winding rotates in the magnetic field generated by the field winding due to the Ampere force. The rotation of the armature drives the drive gear to rotate through the starter's transmission mechanism, and then drives the engine crankshaft to rotate. When the engine speed reaches a certain level, the engine can complete the intake, compression, power and exhaust strokes by itself, and realize independent operation. At this time, the starter's electromagnetic switch will cut off the current, the drive gear will disengage from the flywheel ring gear, and the starter will stop working.
