JBF-Type Deck Valve

The JBF-type deck valve is a specialized connection device designed for use on oil tankers and chemical tankers. It facilitates the rapid connection of portable measuring equipment—such as oil-water interface detectors, closed samplers, cargo tank pressure gauges, and ullage tapes—and is also suitable for use in other industrial settings, such as the petroleum and chemical sectors, where similar requirements exist.

Installation and Operation
When an operator needs to measure an oil tank using equipment such as an oil-water interface detector or an oil-sludge tape, they should remove the deck valve cap and attach the quick-connect coupling of the measuring device to the corresponding receptacle on the deck valve. Next, by opening the ball valve (rotating it 90 degrees upward), the connected device can be deployed for use in accordance with its specific operational requirements. When it is necessary to utilize a closed-sampling device for the oil tank, the upper section of the valve assembly should be unscrewed; the base of the sampling device can then be seated and secured onto the flange located at the top of the JBF-type deck valve. Once the JBF-type deck valve has been opened (by rotating it 90 degrees upward), the operator may proceed with the sampling operation. Upon completion of use, the JBF-type deck valve's ball valve must be returned to the closed position to prevent the leakage of oil vapors from the tank.
