Product Introduction: The Non-Woven Polyester Geotextile is a core product for soil erosion control in mining areas, manufactured by needle-punching high-quality polyester fibers into a dense and porous non-woven structure. It combines lightweight characteristics with high durability, and is specially treated with UV stabilizers and anti-aging agents to adapt to long-term outdoor use in open-pit mining sites. The product has a soft texture and good flexibility, which can closely fit irregular soil surfaces, ensuring full contact with the ground. It is available in a wide range of weights (100-800g/m²), covering the needs of different erosion control scenarios from light to heavy.Main Functions: The primary function is anti-erosion protection—its dense fiber structure can effectively dissipate the energy of surface runoff, reduce the scouring force of water on the soil, and prevent soil particle loss caused by rainwater or irrigation. Secondly, it has vegetation promotion effects: the porous structure allows air and water to penetrate, retains moisture and nutrients in the soil, and provides a stable growth environment for plant seeds, accelerating vegetation coverage in mining areas. Thirdly, it has temperature and UV resistance, capable of withstanding high temperatures up to 150℃ and prolonged UV radiation without brittle cracking or performance degradation. Additionally, it has good tear and puncture resistance, which can withstand the impact of construction machinery and the friction of gravel in mining areas.
Application Scenarios: It is widely used in soil erosion control and ecological restoration in mining areas, including slope protection of open-pit mines, roadbed reinforcement of mine access roads, vegetation restoration of waste rock piles and tailings slopes, and erosion control of surface drainage ditches. It is also suitable for temporary erosion control during mine construction, such as protecting the exposed soil of construction sites from rainwater scouring. In addition, it can be used in the ecological remediation of abandoned mines, helping to restore the natural landscape and ecological balance of the mining area.
Installation and Usage Notes: When laying on slopes, start from the bottom of the slope and work upwards, with an overlap of 10-15cm between adjacent geotextiles to avoid water seepage from the gaps. For steep slopes (slope ratio greater than 1:2), use additional anchor pins to fix the geotextile every 1-1.5 meters to prevent slipping. If sowing vegetation, lay the geotextile first and then spread the seeds on the surface, or choose a pre-seeded geotextile for direct installation. Avoid installing in heavy rain or strong wind weather to prevent the geotextile from being washed away or blown off. After installation, regularly check the integrity of the geotextile, especially after heavy rain, and repair any damaged areas (such as tears or loose fixes) in a timely manner to ensure continuous anti-erosion effect.
