Product Introduction: Our UV-Stabilized Polyester Geotextile is a professional environmental protection material tailored for open-pit mining applications. It is made from high-quality polyester fibers and infused with high-concentration UV stabilizers and anti-aging agents during the production process. This ensures that the product can withstand prolonged exposure to strong sunlight and harsh weather conditions (such as high temperature, rain, and wind) in open-pit mining areas without brittle cracking, fading, or performance degradation. The product is lightweight (150-600g/m²) and flexible, making it easy to install on irregular surfaces such as mine slopes and pit walls.
Main Functions: The primary function is soil stabilization—it can bind the surface soil of open-pit mine slopes and pit walls, prevent soil erosion caused by wind and rain, and reduce the risk of landslides and debris flows. Secondly, it has UV protection: the built-in UV stabilizers can absorb and reflect ultraviolet rays, protecting the underlying soil and vegetation from UV damage. Thirdly, it provides ecological restoration support: the porous structure allows air and water to penetrate, creating a suitable environment for seed germination and vegetation growth, accelerating the ecological restoration of open-pit mining areas. In addition, it has good chemical resistance, which can prevent the underlying soil from being contaminated by mining chemicals (such as cyanide and sulfide).
Application Scenarios: This product is mainly used in open-pit mining areas, including the slope stabilization and erosion control of open-pit mine pits, the ecological restoration of exposed mine surfaces, the protection of waste rock piles and tailings slopes in open-air storage, and the erosion control of surface drainage systems in mining areas. It is suitable for various types of open-pit mines, such as open-pit coal mines, open-pit metal mines, and open-pit non-metallic mines. In addition, it can be used in the temporary protection of open-pit mining construction sites, preventing soil erosion during the construction period.
Installation and Usage Notes: When installing on slopes, lay the geotextile from the bottom to the top, and fix it with anchor pins every 0.8-1.2 meters to ensure that it is closely attached to the slope surface. For slopes with a slope ratio greater than 1:1.5, use additional reinforcement nets to enhance stability. Avoid installing in strong wind or heavy rain weather to prevent the geotextile from being blown away or washed away. If vegetation restoration is required, spread grass seeds or shrub seeds on the geotextile after installation, and cover it with a thin layer of soil to promote seed germination. During use, regularly check the integrity of the geotextile, especially after extreme weather (such as heavy rain and strong wind), and repair any damaged areas in a timely manner.
