Product Introduction: Our Lightweight Polypropylene Geotextile is a cost-effective temporary geosynthetic material designed for mine temporary construction applications. It is produced from high-quality polypropylene fibers through a needle-punching process, with a lightweight structure (weight: 80-200g/m²) and good flexibility. The product is treated with anti-mildew and anti-corrosion additives, ensuring stable performance in temporary mining environments (such as construction sites and temporary roads). Unlike permanent geotextiles, it is optimized for easy installation and low cost, making it suitable for one-time or short-term use. It is available in standard widths of 2-6 meters and can be cut into any length according to construction needs.
Main Functions: Firstly, it has temporary reinforcement performance—it can enhance the bearing capacity of temporary roadbeds and construction sites, allowing construction machinery and vehicles to pass smoothly without sinking. Secondly, it provides layer separation: it isolates the temporary road surface (gravel or soil) from the underlying soil, preventing the mixing of materials caused by vehicle rolling, which can lead to road damage. Thirdly, it has temporary anti-erosion and drainage performance: it can prevent soil erosion caused by rainwater during construction and allow rainwater to drain quickly, avoiding waterlogging on the construction site. In addition, it is lightweight and easy to handle, which can reduce construction time and labor costs, improving construction efficiency.
Application Scenarios: This product is mainly used in temporary construction projects in mining areas, including the construction of temporary roadbeds (for construction machinery and material transportation), the separation layer of construction sites (to keep the site clean and tidy), the temporary erosion control of construction slopes (to prevent soil loss during construction), and the temporary drainage layer of construction pits (to drain groundwater and rainwater). It is also suitable for the temporary protection of exposed soil in mining construction areas, such as the protection of soil piles and foundation pits. It is widely applied in the construction stage of new mines and the renovation stage of old mines.
Installation and Usage Notes: During installation, simply lay the geotextile flat on the construction surface, with an overlap of 10-15cm between adjacent geotextiles to ensure continuity. For temporary roads, lay the geotextile first and then cover it with a 5-10cm thick gravel layer to enhance the bearing capacity. Avoid dragging the geotextile violently during installation to prevent fiber breakage. Do not use the geotextile in areas with open flames or high temperatures, as polypropylene is flammable. During use, avoid overloading the temporary road or construction site beyond the design capacity of the geotextile. After the temporary construction is completed, the geotextile can be recycled (if not damaged) or disposed of in accordance with environmental protection regulations. If the geotextile is damaged during use, replace it immediately to ensure construction safety.
