Product Introduction: The Heat-Resistant Polypropylene Geotextile is a specialized high-temperature resistant material tailored for use in mine smelting areas. It is produced from modified polypropylene fibers with heat-resistant additives (such as glass fiber reinforced or flame-retardant agents) through a needle-punching process. The product has excellent high-temperature resistance, capable of withstanding temperatures up to 120℃, which is far higher than ordinary polypropylene geotextiles (heat resistance ≤90℃). It has a dense structure and good mechanical strength, ensuring stable performance even under prolonged exposure to high temperatures. It is available in weights ranging from 150g/m² to 600g/m² and can be customized in size according to the needs of smelting areas.
Main Functions: Firstly, it has exceptional high-temperature resistance—it can maintain its structural integrity and mechanical properties (tensile strength, tear resistance) under prolonged exposure to high temperatures near smelting furnaces and high-temperature waste disposal sites, without melting or decomposing. Secondly, it provides filtration and drainage: it can filter impurities in high-temperature wastewater and leachate from smelting areas, allowing clean water to drain quickly, reducing the risk of waterlogging and corrosion. Thirdly, it has chemical corrosion resistance, capable of withstanding the erosion of acidic, alkaline, and heavy metal-containing smelting by-products, without degradation. In addition, it has good protective performance, which can protect the underlying soil and equipment from high-temperature radiation and chemical contamination.Application Scenarios: This product is mainly used in mine smelting areas, including the filtration and drainage layer near smelting furnaces (to collect and treat high-temperature wastewater), the protective layer of high-temperature waste disposal sites (to prevent heat radiation and soil contamination), the filtration layer of smelting wastewater treatment systems (to filter high-temperature and high-corrosion wastewater), and the protective lining of high-temperature gas pipelines in smelting workshops. It is suitable for various smelting processes, such as copper smelting, aluminum smelting, and iron smelting workshops. In addition, it can be used in the high-temperature areas of coal-fired power plants in mining areas, such as the filtration layer of coal ash water.
Installation and Usage Notes: When installing in high-temperature areas, avoid installing during the peak temperature period (such as when smelting furnaces are fully operational) to prevent burns and ensure installation safety. The base surface must be flat and free of sharp objects to avoid puncturing the geotextile. Lay the geotextile closely attached to the surface, with an overlap of 15-20cm between adjacent geotextiles, and fix the overlaps with heat-resistant stitching or anchor pins. Avoid direct contact between the geotextile and open flames or high-temperature objects (temperature >120℃) to prevent damage. During use, regularly inspect the geotextile for signs of high-temperature aging (such as discoloration, brittleness, and shrinkage), and replace damaged areas in a timely manner. If the geotextile comes into contact with high-temperature molten substances, remove and replace it immediately to avoid affecting the filtration and protective effect.
