Product Introduction: Our Non-Woven Polypropylene Geotextile is a high-performance drainage material designed for mine drainage systems. It is produced from high-quality polypropylene fibers through an advanced needle-punching process, with a porous structure (porosity ≥80%) and uniform pore size distribution. The product is lightweight yet durable, with good tensile strength and tear resistance. It is treated with anti-mildew, anti-corrosion, and UV-stabilization additives, ensuring stable drainage performance in harsh mining environments (such as humid, chemically polluted, and strong sunlight areas). It is available in weights ranging from 100g/m² to 600g/m² and pore sizes from 0.1mm to 1.0mm, which can be customized according to the drainage requirements of different mining projects.
Main Functions: Firstly, it has efficient drainage performance—the porous structure allows water (groundwater, rainwater, or leachate) to flow quickly through the geotextile, while retaining soil particles and impurities, ensuring unobstructed drainage and preventing clogging of the drainage system. Secondly, it provides filtration protection: it filters out suspended solids and sediment in the water, protecting drainage pipes and equipment from blockage and damage. Thirdly, it has good chemical corrosion and biological degradation resistance, capable of withstanding the erosion of acidic, alkaline, and high-salt mine water, and not easily decomposed by microorganisms in the soil. In addition, it has soil stabilization effects, which can bind the surrounding soil and prevent soil erosion caused by water flow.Application Scenarios: This product is widely used in mine drainage systems, including the leachate collection layer of tailings dams and waste rock yards (to collect and drain leachate), the groundwater drainage layer of open-pit mines (to reduce groundwater levels and prevent slope instability), the surface water drainage ditches of mining areas (to drain rainwater and avoid waterlogging), and the subsurface drainage systems of mine roads (to drain groundwater and protect roadbeds). It is also suitable for the drainage of mine construction pits (to drain groundwater and ensure construction safety) and the drainage of abandoned mine remediation projects. It is widely applied in various types of mines, such as metal mines, coal mines, and non-metallic mines.Installation and Usage Notes: When installing as a drainage layer, lay the geotextile with the porous side facing the water flow to maximize drainage efficiency. Ensure that the geotextile is laid flat and taut, with an overlap of 10-15cm between adjacent geotextiles to avoid water seepage from the gaps. For subsurface drainage systems, place the geotextile around the drainage pipes and cover it with gravel or sand to form a composite drainage layer. Avoid dragging the geotextile over sharp objects during installation to prevent puncture. During use, regularly inspect the drainage system for blockage; if the drainage capacity decreases, clean the geotextile or replace it if necessary. Avoid exposing the geotextile to direct sunlight for a long time when not in use, as this may affect its service life.
