The VX3-12 series lower disconnect & lower earthing circuit breaker unit is a core modular component specially developed for 12kV environmentally friendly gas-insulated ring main units (RMUs). It adopts a unique lower-disconnect and lower-earthing layout, integrating a circuit breaker, disconnect switch and earthing switch into one frame. This integrated module realizes circuit breaking, visible isolation and maintenance earthing, perfectly matching the structural design of compact eco-gas ring main cabinets.
Disconnect and earthing switches are arranged at the lower section of the frame. This design optimizes the vertical space layout of the cabinet, leaving ample space for cable wiring at the upper part of the switchgear. It simplifies cable routing and field wiring work.
Standard reliable mechanical interlock is equipped to prevent misoperation:
Physical interlocking meets IEC safety standards and effectively protects maintenance personnel.
High-performance red insulating covers are adopted for phase-to-phase and phase-to-earth insulation. Precision-machined conductive parts maintain stable contact pressure, ensuring outstanding performance under rated current and short-circuit withstand conditions.
Compatible with dry air, nitrogen and other environmentally friendly insulating media. It avoids the use of SF₆ greenhouse gas, complies with global low-carbon power grid standards, and reduces later maintenance and gas processing costs.
Standardized mounting holes support offline pre-assembly, which significantly improves cabinet assembly efficiency. Manual and motorized operating mechanisms are optional, compatible with mainstream environmentally friendly gas-insulated RMU solutions.
