The VX2-12 upper disconnect and upper earthing load switch unit is a core modular switching component designed for 12kV environmentally friendly gas-insulated ring main units (RMUs). This integrated unit combines a load switch, an upper-mounted disconnect switch, and an upper-mounted earthing switch within one compact frame, fulfilling three core functions: load current making and breaking, visible electrical isolation, and safe maintenance earthing.
The disconnect and earthing switches are arranged on the upper side of the assembly, effectively reducing the overall depth of the ring main unit. This layout saves cabinet space and simplifies internal wiring, inspection, and later maintenance operations.
