Dual Channel Loop Detector for Parking Entrance & Exit with Vehicle Direction

The Dual Channel Loop Detector for Parking Entrance & Exit with Vehicle Direction Recognition is developed for access points where reliable vehicle movement analysis is required, not just simple presence detection. By monitoring two induction loops through CH1 and CH2, the unit determines whether a vehicle is entering or leaving according to the order in which the loops are activated. This directional logic is particularly useful for parking entrances, exit lanes, barrier gates, toll lanes, industrial access roads, and other bidirectional traffic applications. Six selectable operating modes allow the detector to perform direction-based control, independent dual-loop presence detection, entry pulse output, or exit pulse output, while separate relay outputs for each channel provide straightforward connection to parking controllers, barrier gate systems, vehicle counting devices, traffic lights, and other external control equipment.

To maintain stable detection under different site conditions, the detector provides independent 8-level sensitivity adjustment for both channels, four selectable operating frequencies, and a broad 20–2000 μH loop inductance range. Frequency selection helps minimize crosstalk when multiple loops are installed nearby, while Automatic Sensitivity Boost (ASB) improves detection continuity for trucks, trailers, articulated vehicles, and high-chassis vehicles. Permanent presence and automatic reset options make the unit suitable for both short-term passage detection and extended vehicle occupancy, while dedicated CH1/CH2 LED indicators simplify status monitoring and loop fault diagnosis during installation. Available in LD-200 100–240 VAC and LD-202 12–24 V versions, this dual channel vehicle loop detector offers a flexible solution for modern parking access control, vehicle direction management, and intelligent traffic automation.

• 9. Anti-crosstalk interference.
  • Through the dip Switch, the frequency of the loop detector can be adjusted to prevent crosstalk interference caused by the installation of two loop coils too close.

The LD-200 series detector may be configured for any one of the following modes:

• CH1 Detecting Led:Continuously On: Indicates vehicle detection.
• Blinking Slowly: Indicates loop is short circuit or the number of twists after the loop is not enough.
• Blinking Fast: Indicates loop is open circuit or too many twists after the loop.
• CH2 Detecting Led:Continuously On: Indicates vehicle detection.
• Blinking Slowly: Indicates loop is short circuit or the number of twists after the loop is not enough.
• Blinking Fast: Indicates loop is open circuit or too many twists after the loop.

• Sensitivity and frequency of the loop can be adjusted by 7-way dip switch and 10-way dip switch setting.
• User can select 8 different setting by changing the setting of the dip-switch to different modes as in the dip-switch setting tables below. Dip switch 6, 7 and 8 for CH1 sensitivity selection with 0.8 being the least sensitive and 0.015 being the most sensitive.
• Dip switch 3, 4 and 5 for CH2 sensitivity selection with 0.8 being the least sensitive and 0.015 being the most sensitive.

Reset Button: Please note: The LD-200 must be reset every time a setting change is made to the Dip switches.

The loops are sealed using a “quick-set” black epoxy compound or hot bitumen mastic to blend with the roadway surface.
