309S is a low carbon content stainless steel, is derivated from 309 stainless steel,its used for welding occasion. Low carbon content makes a minimized carbide precipitation near the weld zone. The carbide precipitation may result in stainless steel intergranular corrosion in some environments (welding erosion).
