Medium and high-frequency induction furnaces are industrial equipment that heats metals using the principle of electromagnetic induction. They are primarily used for pre-forging heating, metal melting, and heat treatment, and are widely used in mechanical manufacturing, cast iron production, and other fields. Their working principle involves converting three-phase power frequency alternating current into adjustable medium-frequency current (60Hz–10kHz), which generates an alternating magnetic field through an induction coil, causing eddy current heating within the metal material.
The equipment consists of a furnace shell, induction coil, magnetic yoke, and furnace lining. The magnetic yoke is used to shield the magnetic field and reduce magnetic leakage. The safety protection system includes cooling water monitoring, hydraulic emergency control, furnace leakage alarm device, and power interlock cutoff function. Furnace models of 1 ton and above require a furnace leakage alarm device. The control system uses automated programs to manage feeding and temperature parameters, supporting precise adjustment of the heating speed. With increasing environmental requirements, medium and high-frequency induction furnaces are gradually replacing traditional high-energy-consuming melting equipment due to their fast heating and high efficiency.
(1) Hot forming: whole-piece forging, partial forging, hot upsetting, hot rolling;
(2) Metal melting: (vacuum) melting, casting, and evaporation coating of metals such as gold, silver, copper, iron, and aluminum;
(3) Heat treatment: local or overall quenching, annealing, tempering, and through-heating of various metals; (4) Other applications of high-frequency heating machines: semiconductor single crystal growth, thermal fitting, bottle cap heat sealing, toothpaste tube heat sealing, powder coating, metal implantation in plastics, etc.
(4) Welding: brazing of various metal products, welding of various tool blades and saw teeth, welding of steel pipes and copper pipes, and welding of similar and dissimilar metals.
